Yoga Teacher Profile: Dr. Rajvi H Mehta is among the senior Iyengar Yoga teachers and has been studying directly under BKS Iyengar since 1979.

She has been teaching yoga for the Light on Yoga Research Trust in Mumbai since 1987 and is the editor of Yoga Rahasya, the quarterly publication of the Ramamani Iyengar Yoga Institute.

He is now known & recognised as premier disciple of Sri B.K.S. Iyengar. He has been detailed as a faculty member of Annual International conference on Yoga held at Rishikesh by Sri. B.K.S. Iyengar.

Yoga Teacher Profile:Srineet is Yogacharya BKS Iyengar’s grandson, son of his second daughter Vanita. He has lived in Pune throughout, and being part of the family, has been brought up in the midst of yoga. He has learnt at RIMYI right from the children’s classes since his childhood, and has been the star model in the book “Yoga for Children”. He teaches at RIMYI, Pune and has also conducted the Yoga Sutra sessions “Learning the Yoga Sutras with Clarity and Rigour” together with his uncle Prashant.

Residential Iyengar Yoga Sessions by Sri. Raya Uma Datta, from 18th Oct 2024 to 24th Oct 2024, at BIYC, Bellur for Indian and International participants.

Yoga Teacher Profile: Raya Uma Datta is one of the key teachers of the Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute (RIMYI). Raya has attended RIMYI since the age of 10. At the age of 20 he began teaching there. In 1998 he was part of the demonstration of asanas for the celebration of the 80th birthday of B.K.S. Iyengar, and from that demonstration Guruji took him as his student.

We are delighted to announce that we will be hosting four Live-stream yoga Classes with Dr Rajlaxmi Nidmarti. These classes are suitable for students with two years or more of regular Iyengar yoga practice.

She has a doctorate in ayurvedic medicine, practice in gynecology. She worked as a full-time doctor, when she began taking classes at RIMYI Institute and has trained directly under Guruji, Dr.B.K.S. Iyengar. She has been teaching Iyengar yoga full time at the Institute for 22 years.

Yoga Teacher Profile: Zarna Mohan is a senior teacher of Iyengar Yoga from Hyderabad, India. She began her yoga journey at the age of 18 in the year 1974 under Father Joe Pereira in Mumbai. In the year 1977 she joined Yogacharya B.K.S. Iyengar.

She began teaching in the early 1980’s in Mumbai under 'Light on Yoga Research Trust. During this time she completed her Masters in Philosophy.

Yoga Teacher Profile: Sri. Prashant S. Iyengar is the son of Yogacharya Dr. B.K.S. Iyengar and an authority in yoga. He is presently the director of Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute (R.I.M.Y.I.) Pune, which had won the first Prime Minister’s Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Promotion and Development of Yoga in 2017.
